Police said the press box is a total loss.

In Cohasset Harbor, multiple boats ran aground as winds continued to whip into the daylight hours.

Overall, nearly 500,000 Massachusetts homes and businesses were left without power, including all of Cohasset. There is no estimate yet for when power will be restored.

National Grid spokeswoman Christina Milligan said the storm played out as planned. But while the utility company was ready for what arrived, it will still take time to clean up.

"Exactly what we expected. No surprises yet. That's the good news. We were prepared for this. The bad news is, we do have some damage so this will be a multi-day restoration event," Milligan said.
