Obama Featured Guest At Boston's Annual Labor Day Breakfast

BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts Democratic leaders are welcoming a special guest at their annual Labor Day breakfast in Boston — President Barack Obama.

Obama is expected to attend the Monday morning event along with a host of other top Democrats, including U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Edward Markey, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh.

The breakfast takes place at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.

The breakfast is Obama's first visit back to Massachusetts since the conclusion of his summer vacation on Martha's Vineyard.

Republican Gov. Charlie Baker said he plans to greet Obama when he arrives at Logan Airport, but doesn't have any events scheduled with him.

A labor rally and march is also slated to begin at the Boston Common bandstand around noon following the conclusion of the breakfast.
