No Jinx! Boston Quietly Plowed Patriots Parade Route Before Super Bowl
BOSTON (CBS) -- Even before the New England Patriots lifted their fourth Lombardi Trophy Sunday night following a Super Bowl win, the city of Boston was making sure that the iconic duck boats would be ready to roll for a victory parade.

Boston was hit hard with more than two feet of snow from the Blizzard of 2015 the week before, and another storm was expected to drop up to another foot in the city on Monday. Tall snowbanks might make it a challenge to catch a glimpse of Tom Brady or new Patriots hero Malcolm Butler in a duck boat on Tuesday.

But Boston Mayor Marty Walsh told WBZ-TV Monday morning that, without attracting any attention, crews were out over the weekend carefully plowing some of the areas where the boats might travel.
"We were clearing Saturday and Sunday, the parade route," Walsh said. "No one knew about it and it worked."
Walsh added at a later press conference that the city is working to clear snow in every neighborhood, not just the parade route.
The Patriots will parade their way through the city on the famous duck boats on Tuesday at 11 a.m. The city said the parade will start at the Prudential Tower and end at City Hall.

"We're going to be working on getting everything ready for a parade in the city," Walsh said.
