Nitrogen Leak On Huntington Ave. Forces Evacuations

BOSTON (CBS) – Several buildings were evacuated in Boston after a nitrogen tank leaked outside a Huntington Ave. facility Monday morning.

The Boston Fire Department was called at 7:10 a.m. to 655 Huntington Ave., where an outside nitrogen tank was leaking at a research building.

Firefighters said the building was evacuated along with two buildings on Longwood Ave. as a precaution.

Just after 8 a.m. firefighters were awaiting representatives from a medical gas company to shut off the gas in the area.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
