NightSide - What Can The U.S. Do For Syrian Refugees?

BOSTON (CBS) - Refugees fleeing civil war in Syria have been struggling to find temporary homes across Europe. While some countries like Germany have opened their borders to families looking for safety, other countries have been far less welcoming. There has been increasing pressure on the United States to do more to help, and today President Obama announced the U.S. would accept at least ten thousand refugees over the next fiscal year. But some think we could and should do even more. Boston College Professor Westy Egmont is co-chair of the Governor's Advisory Council, and he sits down with Dan to talk about the role he believes the United States should play in dealing with this current crisis. Do you think we should be doing more to help families that are fleeing for their lives? Or is it an unfortunate truth that we have our own problems to worry about?
