BOSTON (CBS) - As our country has moved through the last few generations, we have seen a lot of change. But, despite the fact that we have seen some serious social progress and incredible developments in technology, many have wondered whether or not our minds have continued to become sharper. Concerns about free speech, abuse of welfare programs, a lack of writing skills in high schools and colleges across the country, and other specific examples have all been compiled by co-editor Mark Bauerlein in his new book, titled "The State of The American Mind."
