NightSide - The Fight For Transgender Rights Goes On

BOSTON (CBS) - Anti-discrimination legislation aimed at protecting the transgender community was easily passed in the Massachusetts Senate today, and the bill will now head to the House of Representatives where it is also expected to pass. Should the bill be signed into law, Massachusetts would become the eighteenth state to have anti-discrimination laws that include gender identity protections. This comes at the same time that North Carolina is facing off with the federal Department of Justice over a law that would regulate who is allowed to use which bathroom. Dr. Roberto Olivardia, Psychology Instructor at Harvard Medical School, joins NightSide to talk about the national conversation over transgender rights.
