NightSide - Professor Tobe Berkovitz On Brian Williams

BOSTON (CBS) - It was a big day for news personalities, both real and fake. Brian Williams, the anchor for NBC's evening news broadcast, was officially given a six month suspension after recent developments have damaged his credibility. Meanwhile, Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show for almost two decades, announced he would be leaving his post sometime later this year. Williams and Stewart spoke to two different demographics, but were both popular and trusted figures in the world of news, politics, and policy. Boston University Communications Professor Tobe Berkovitz sits down with Dan to talk about these two departures and how it will affect the media landscape. Where do you get your news from? Do you trust media personalities like Williams and Stewart?

Originally broadcast February 11th, 2015.
