NightSide - Major Reforms On Tap For The DCF

BOSTON (CBS)- Governor Baker declared that the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families lacks a clear mission, and called for some major reforms at a press conference yesterday. According to Governor Baker, the agency needs to change the way it evaluates and prioritizes cases to avoid "mission confusion," and help focus time and resources on saving the kids that need it most. Jason Stephany, spokesman for the Massachusetts Human Service Workers Union, and Adriana Zwick, a social work supervisor who has been with the DCF for more than twenty years, are in studio to talk about the challenges and goals in tackling proposed reforms.

Originally broadcast September 29th, 2015.
