NightSide - Lawrence Mayor Speaks Out Against Sanctuary Cities

BOSTON (CBS) - Lawrence Mayor Dan Rivera has been very vocal about his opposition to turning Lawrence into a sanctuary city. But he says he will not veto the decision by the Lawrence City Council to become one of the approximately three hundred sanctuary cities in the United States. The new policy limits the cooperation between local authorities and the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), and prevents police from looking into immigration status in cases that only involve minor crimes or violations. Mayor Rivera sits down with Dan to talk about his stance on this complicated issue.
