NightSide - Democrats Lose Another Special Election

BOSTON (CBS) - Democrats were handed a major loss in the special election to replace Tom Price as Representative for Georgia's Sixth District. With so much negative press being thrown at President Trump's administration, many thought the Democrats would be able to turn the tide in the traditionally red district. This loss is just the most recent in a string of special elections that Democrats have so far failed to use to their advantage. The race came with a total price tag of fifty million dollars, and proved that the Republican strategy of attacking Nancy Pelosi is still an effective approach. Many are expecting the 2018 midterm elections to be a big win for Democrats, but is the left headed for disappointment at the polls? Has Democratic leadership failed to learn any lessons from the 2016 election? What does the party need to do to turn things around?
