NightSide - Boston's Treasure; Mayor Tom Menino

BOSTON (CBS) - Tom Menino passed away at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer. Mayor Menino was the longest-serving mayor Boston has ever seen, and his legacy of putting the people of Boston first made him one of the most popular elected officials in the state of Massachusetts. In some ways he ruled with an iron fist, but it was always evident in everything he did that his top priority was the city he loved, and the neighborhoods and people that call Boston home. Tonight, we look back at his accomplishments and celebrate the passion and work ethic he brought to City Hall. Dan was joined throughout the night by Jack Beatty, co-author of Mayor Menino's recently-published memoir, former Boston Mayor Ray Flynn, and U.S. Senator Ed Markey. Call in with your own stories or memories and join the conversation as we all reflect on a true political giant who joins the pages of Boston's storied history.
