NightSide - Are America's Best Days In The Past?

BOSTON (CBS) - The term Pax Romana (Latin for Roman Peace) was created to describe the long period of peace and prosperity during the height of the Roman Empire. Once it came to an end, the empire saw its influence and power slowly decline until it eventually fell apart. Fast forward to modern times, the term has been adapted to Pax Americana, referring to the world and America's role in it in the post-World War II era. Law Professor Richard Epstein joins NightSide to talk about whether Pax Americana has come to an end, and where we stand in today's chaotic and violent world.

Originally broadcast September 29th, 2014.
