NH State Police: Cars Hit 132 MPH As They Raced Past Cruiser
GREENLAND, NH (CBS) - New Hampshire State Police made two arrests and are looking for a third person following two separate speeding incidents within an hour on Wednesday morning.
The first alleged incident happened around 7:05 a.m., when a trooper driving northbound on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua was passed by two cars that were racing.
The vehicles were identified as a charcoal Gray Subaru WRX and a Black Toyota Supra coupe.
The cars were clocked going 132 mph as they changed lanes.
The trooper managed to stop the Toyota. The driver, Kenneth Guertin, 45, of Hudson, NH was arrested and charged with reckless conduct and criminal mischief relating to an unspecified incident after he was in custody.
NH State Police are actively seeking the driver of the gray Subaru WRX and asking anyone with information to call the barracks at 603-666-3333.
About a half-hour after that incident, officers doing traffic enforcement from a state police aircraft clocked a motorcycle traveling at 107 MPH.
Police say the motorcycle was traveling southbound in a 65 MPH zone and passing traffic on I-95 southbound in Greenland.
Police arrested and charged the driver, Scott Gardiner, 22, of Hampton, NH with reckless driving.
