NH Police: Son Attempts To Set Mother's Home On Fire

SALEM, N.H. (CBS) -- A Salem, NH, man is under arrest after allegedly setting the deck of his mother's home on fire.

Emergency crews responded to the North Main Street home shortly before 3p.m. Sunday and were able to put out the fire.

Police say after 27-year old Justin Kane got into an argument with his mother, he doused the back deck with gasoline, set it on fire and ran away. His mother was inside the home at the time.

Police tracked his cell phone to find him. He was arrested at his father's home in Salem.

Kane faces arson and reckless conduct charges. He will be arraigned on Monday in Circuit Court.
