Crash Shuts Down Part Of Route 9 In Newton

NEWTON (CBS) – Part of Route 9 in Newton was shut down late Wednesday morning after a car crash brought down a utility pole and wires.

Police closed the eastbound lanes from Parker Street to Langley Road for the cleanup and repairs.
It's not clear yet when that section of the road will re-open.
Two people were taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital with minor injuries.
There's no word yet on what caused the crash.
