Newton Named Third-Best Place To Raise Family In US
NEWTON (CBS) – One of the best places to raise a family in the United States is right in Boston's backyard, according to a new ranking.
The annual list by Livability places Newton at No. 3. The city gets high marks for its schools, low crime rate, health services and economy.
Those amenities do come at a cost, though. Livability says the average home price in Newton is $855,000.
Topping the rankings is Rockville, Maryland, followed by Chandler, Arizona.
