New Hampshire Patient Infected With EEE Dies
CONWAY, N.H. (AP) — Health officials have confirmed that one of the two people infected with Eastern Equine Encephalitis in New Hampshire this summer has died.
The chief of Infectious Disease Surveillance at the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Service says health officials believe the person became sick in August in the Conway area.
New Hampshire Public Radio reports that the other person who contracted the disease has been released from the hospital.
Triple E is spread by the bite of infected mosquitoes.
