New Hampshire Officials Still Searching For Missing Boater

LACONIA, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire Fish and Game dive team is expected to resume its search for a missing boater in Lake Winnipesaukee.

On Saturday morning, Fish and Game Marine Patrol received a report of a boat circling off Governor's Island Beach in Gilford with a dog on board but no sign of people.

Investigators stopped the 17-foot outboard and transported the dog to shore, but the male operator of the boat has yet to be located.

Officials are not releasing the boater's name at this time.

Marine Patrol boats are also conducting surface searches.
