New Patriots Lineman Jonathan Cooper Carted Off With Foot Injury
FOXBORO (CBS) – Patriots offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper was carted off the field Saturday during the first day of padded training camp practices.
Cooper, who was acquired in a trade that sent Chandler Jones to the Arizona Cardinals, was playing with the first offensive unit when he appeared to injure his right foot.
After being looked at by trainers, Cooper was placed onto a cart and brought from the practice field back into Gillette Stadium.
The extent of his injury is not yet known.
The former No. 7 overall draft pick has a history of injuries in his short NFL career. He has played in just 24 games since he was drafted in 2013, starting 11 games with the Cardinals.
