DeMarcus Cousins Reportedly Traded To New Orleans

BOSTON (CBS) – With less than a week to go before the NBA trade deadline, Celtics fans are keeping a close eye on the rumor mill.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, one big name who some Celtics fans had been hoping to see in Boston is heading elsewhere.

Wojnarowski reported late Sunday night that the Sacramento Kings will be shipping star center DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Cousins, well known for his antics on and off the court, is averaging 27.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game so far this season.

About an hour before Wojnarowski's report, Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald reported that the Celtics were not one of the teams who made a run at Cousins on Sunday.

The Kings will reportedly receive a package headlined by Buddy Hield and a 2017 first round draft pick.
