Nate Solder's Infant Son Has Cancer

BOSTON (CBS) - Patriots left tackle Nate Solder says his four-month-old son has cancer.

Solder, whose season ended October 11 when he tore his bicep in Dallas, made the announcement Monday night at an event for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation.

Hudson Solder was born in July and diagnosed with a tumor in his kidneys in October.

According to the Boston Herald, Hudson has a Wilms' tumor and he has already had a few rounds of chemotherapy at Boston Children's Hospital.

Solder tweeted a photo Monday night of his son smiling wearing a shirt that says "Tough like my dad."

Nate Solder went public last April with his own cancer battle, revealing he was treated for testicular cancer before the 2014 season.
