Here Comes Winter: Icy Scene Atop Mount Washington

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. (CBS) – You wouldn't know it's still October at the summit of Mount Washington.

A photo shared by the Mount Washington Observatory Thursday morning shows an icy landscape.

Some Facebook users say the scene above the clouds looks nothing like what you'd expect to see in New England.

It's not getting any warmer up there, either. In fact, the forecast calls for about a foot of snow at the summit through Friday.
