More Than 200 Vehicles Expected In Tow Truck Driver's Funeral Procession

SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Tow truck drivers are honoring a fallen comrade with a funeral procession including dozens of tow trucks.

Kevin St. Pierre, 22, of Southbridge, was killed Feb. 11 while preparing to tow a vehicle in the breakdown lane on the Massachusetts Turnpike near Exit 10. His funeral is Saturday morning at St. John Paul II Parish.

Kim Lowell, head of the Statewide Towing Association, says the procession will include over 200 tow trucks from across New England as well as state and local police vehicles. She says participants will wear their reflective safety gear. St. Pierre's name will also be added to a memorial at the International Towing and Recovery Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in a ceremony later this year.

A memorial fund has been established to help his family.
