Environmental Police Tranquilize Moose Before It Can Reach Mass Pike

LUDLOW (CBS) – Authorities relocated a young moose before it could reach the Massachusetts Turnpike Friday and possibly injure itself or drivers.

Environmental officials said the juvenile moose was in Ludlow and "in danger of crossing the Pike."

Officers tranquilized the moose in a populated area and were able to return it to the woods.
