Mookie Betts Leads Third Outfield Spot In All-Star Voting

BOSTON (CBS) -- An updated list of All-Star votes came out Tuesday afternoon, and it's good news for Mookie Betts: the Red Sox right fielder is currently third in voting among outfielders with 1,435,218 votes. Center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. remains in the No. 2 spot with 1,725,672 votes.

Betts is battling Baltimore Orioles right fielder Mark Trumbo and Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain, who trail with 1,408,195 and 1,403,617 votes, respectively. Blue Jays right fielder Jose Bautista is sixth with 1,302,121 votes.

Shortstop Xander Bogaerts and designated hitter David Ortiz remain the likely starters for the American League with sizable leads in voting at their respective positions.
