Mookie Betts' Golf Cart Ends Up Sunken At The Bottom Of A Lake
BOSTON (CBS) -- Mookie Betts is an exceptional baseball player and a very good bowler, too.
He is not, however, a good golf cart driver.
That's apparently the lesson learned from the weekend, when first baseman Travis Shaw tweeted out a photo of a sunken golf cart.
When Mookie drives..... (And yes that is a golf cart) @mookiebetts ???? #howdoesthathappen pic.twitter.com/8giEYj71rI

Betts then owned up to the incident a few minutes later.
Yea no more driving for me pic.twitter.com/vKyKI8qG3x

Based on some basic investigatory efforts, it seems as though perhaps Betts did not apply the parking brake.
For the record I didn't drive into the pond. It rolled in there. Just clearing that up

98.5 The Sports Hub's Scott Zolak tweeted that it wasn't very funny, which prompted a meme-worthy photo reply from Betts (via Shaw's account).

It figures to be a big year for Betts, but he made clear over the weekend that it's best that he avoid any motorized carts if he wants to stay safe.
