Monday Night's Red Sox-Twins Game Postponed, Will Be Made Up Wednesday

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Red Sox were set to return to Fenway Park on Monday night following a 1-6 road trip, but Mother Nature has rained on their parade.

Monday night's Red Sox-Minnesota Twins game at Fenway Park has been postponed due to wet grounds and a forecast of moderate to heavy rain showers during the afternoon and evening hours. The game will be made up this Wednesday, June 3, at 1:35 pm at Fenway Park as the first game of a split-admission, day-night doubleheader.

Tickets for Monday night's game will be good for admission to the rescheduled contest at 1:35 pm on Wednesday, with Fenway Park gates opening at 12:05 pm. Based on the current forecast, the Red Sox expect that Tuesday's game will be played as scheduled at 7:10 pm.

The Red Sox currently sit 22-29 on the season, last place in the American League East.
