Milton Crash Leaves 1 Dead, Car Split In Half

MILTON (CBS) - One person was killed when a car slammed into a utility pole and split in half in Milton early Wednesday morning.
It happened on Route 138 near Blue Hill Avenue and Canton Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. The driver, a 39-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle after the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Milton Police say the driver hit two utility poles, both of which snapped in half and caused power lines to go down.
The Norfolk District Attorney's Office said speed is being investigated as a factor.
No other information has been released at this point in the investigation.
