Milton Carjacking Suspect Told Elderly Victim 'Let's Not Make This A Murder'

MILTON (CBS) – An elderly Milton woman who was carjacked Monday in broad daylight after she returned home from the grocery store says the suspect threatened her life.

The woman, who did not want to be identified, told WBZ-TV that when she got out of her car into her driveway, she was met by a short man who was dressed all in black.

"He said 'this is a robbery. Let's not make it a murder,'" the 84-year-old woman recalls.

The woman said the man took her purse and told her to stand in front of the car, turn around and he would back the car out of the driveway.

She complied, and the man drove away.

On Tuesday, Boston police located the car. The vehicle was towed back to the woman's home.

The woman's son-in-law, who also asked not to be identified,

"She has incredible spunk, great spirit, great enthusiasm, even after everything happened," he said.

No arrests have been made in the carjacking.
