Merrimack, NH, Man Charged With Wife's Murder

MERRIMACK, N.H. (CBS) – The husband of a woman who was found dead inside her New Hampshire home has been arrested and charged with murder.

Investigators in New Hampshire announced Friday morning that Joseph Lawrence, 62, was charged with second degree murder for "knowingly causing the death of his wife."

Darlene Lawrence was found dead early Thursday morning inside a house on Back River Road in Merrimack.

Autopsy results show Lawrence died from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Police arrested Joseph Lawrence later in the day. He is being held without bail.
