Men Arrested For Heroin Possession, Driving Stolen Car During Mass. Travel Ban

HOPKINTON (CBS) – Two men were arrested for driving a stolen car and possession of heroin while the travel ban was in effect for the blizzard on Tuesday.

State Police troopers were alerted to a stolen Toyota SUV out of Lowell at 5:15 p.m., and quickly spotted it on Route 495 behind a procession of plows.

The driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Andrew Cormier and the passenger, 22-year-old Shaun Janson, both of Worcester, were arrested after troopers stopped the SUV in Hopkinton. Both men were found to be in possession of a substance believed to be heroin.

They were charged with violating the travel ban, possession of heroin and receiving stolen property.
