Men Allegedly Attempt To Force UNH Student Into Trunk

DURHAM, N.H. (CBS) – Police are looking for three men accused of trying to force a female student into their trunk near the University of New Hampshire campus early Friday morning.

UNH officials issued an alert to students, saying that a female student informed them that Friday at 1:45 a.m. on Garrison Ave. three men pulled up to her in a tan colored car. Two of the men allegedly got out of the vehicle and tried to talk her into going with them.

According to the woman, the men took her by the arm, opened the trunk, and tried to get her inside.

Police said male friends of the woman came to the area, and the suspects then got in the vehicle and left.

The woman was not injured in the incident. Police are still looking for the suspects.

UNH and Durham police will both be increasing their patrols of the area.

Anyone with more information is asked to call the Durham Police Department at (603) 686-2334.
