$1M Lottery Ticket In Mass. Goes To Dartmouth Nurse, Another Remains Unclaimed

BOSTON (CBS) – A nurse from Dartmouth is one of two people in Massachusetts who won $1 million from Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing. Jennifer Santo, 40, purchased her winning ticket at the Cumberland Farms on Main Street in Bridgewater.

The other ticket, sold at the Wilmington Nouria on Main Street in Wilmington, has yet to be claimed.

According to the Mass. State Lottery, Santos said she plans to put a portion of her winnings towards her two children's education.

Only one winning ticket was sold for the $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot. The winning ticket was sold in South Carolina. That person matched all five numbers -- and the Mega Millions ball.

Another 32 across the country also won a $1 million. There were two tickets that won $3 million dollars.

The winning numbers were 5-28-62-65-70 and the Megaball was 5. The one-time payout is estimated at $913 million before taxes.

Massachusetts Lottery officials said two $30,000 prizes and 12 $10,000 winners were also sold in the state.
