Marathon Champion Meb Keflezighi To Speak At Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL (AP) — Meb Keflezighi, the 2014 Boston Marathon champion, will speak at Boston College this week.

The Eritrean-born Keflezighi will turn 41 in May and will become the oldest distance runner in American Olympic history when he races in the marathon at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, his fourth Olympics.

He has participated in three World Championships and has accumulated 23 USA Track & Field individual titles. He is the only person to have won the New York City Marathon, the Boston Marathon, and an Olympic medal.

Keflezighi's speech is part of the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics Chambers Lecture Series. His appearance is scheduled for Wednesday.
