MBTA Worker Rescues Lost Puppy On Tracks

BOSTON (CBS) -- An MBTA worker came to the rescue of a puppy lost on the tracks on Saturday.

Green Line inspector Tara Egan saved the puppy that was on the underground tracks between Park Street Station and Boylston Station, the T said.

One rider snapped a photo of Egan scooping the puppy off the tracks.

The T later shared pictures of a smiling Egan and the puppy.

Bella the puppy was later reunited with her owners, who had been looking for her since 3:30 p.m. that afternoon when she got loose.

The puppy was first spotted by a trolley operator who notified dispatch.
