MBTA Transit Police Seek Suspect Who Assaulted, Robbed Elderly Man

BOSTON (CBS) -- Transit Police are seeking a suspect who assaulted and robbed an elderly man at an MBTA station in Jamaica Plain about three weeks ago.

The incident happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 9 at the Forest Hills MBTA Station, according to the Transit Police blog.

The suspect attacked the 74-year-old man and ran off with his wallet, police say.

Police described the suspect as being a white man in his early-to-mid 20s, wearing a black knit cap, a dark-colored jacket with gray panels on each side, a gray hoodie, and blue jeans.
