Name Announced For New MBTA Transit Police Dog
BOSTON (CBS) – The newest four-legged member of the MBTA Transit Police officially has a name.
On Tuesday, Transit Police shared photos of a Belgian Malinois that was recently added to its K-9 unit and asked the public to help name him.
The most popular suggestions were Hunter, Charlie, Trax and Mr. T.
After accepting name nominations, Transit Police announced on Thursday that the new dog will be named Hunter.

Charlie and Trax were honorable mention, Transit Police said.
Transit Police said they received thousands of votes before settling on Hunter.
