MBTA Officer Put On Leave After Facebook Post Ridicules Man Who Defecated

BOSTON (AP) — A Massachusetts transit police officer has been placed on leave after officials say she posted a photo on Facebook ridiculing a man who had defecated on the floor.

Ashley Carlson was placed on paid administrative leave Monday after officials at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Transit Police Department learned of the post.

The photo shows a man lying on the floor beside a wheelchair with his pants down to just above his knees.

In her posting, Carlson says MBTA police had responded to a report about the man. She allegedly wrote, "I don't get paid enough to deal with this (expletive) ... literally and figuratively!!!"

An MBTA police spokesman says he's "very concerned" about the post and the incident is being investigated.

Carlson couldn't immediately be reached for comment Monday.
