MBTA Green Line Inspector Dragged By Trolley

BOSTON (CBS/AP) — An MBTA inspector spent the night in the hospital after she was dragged by a Green Line trolley Monday evening.

According to the MBTA, she was troubleshooting a problem with a train having a power issue at the Harvard Avenue T stop when she became trapped between a fence and the inbound and outbound tracks.

She was dragged about 70 feet, MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo told WBZ-TV.

The inspector was conscious and alert when she was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital, where she is being treated for neck pain and a knee injury.

Pesaturo did not reveal her name, but said she has worked for the T for almost nine years.

She is 39 years old and lives in Mattapan.
