Several MBTA Commuter Rail Trains Canceled, Delayed After Derailment
BOSTON (CBS) – Standing in the bitter cold waiting for a train wasn't the only problem for several MBTA commuters north of Boston Tuesday morning.
There were plenty of cancellations and delays on the Haverhill, Lowell, Fitchburg and Newburyport-Rockport lines.

It began when an out-of-service commuter train derailed in Andover around 4 a.m., so inbound service on the Haverhill Line was halted at Lawrence Station.
Haverhill Line passengers may consider taking the Lowell Line from Anderson/Woburn. There is a large parking lot to accommodate passengers.

Buses took riders between Lawrence and Andover station, where they could then board a Boston-bound train.

Then, ten commuter rail trains were also canceled Tuesday, according to the MBTA's website, many due to "track problems."
It's not clear yet if the problems or the derailment are weather-related.
Leslie Aun, a spokeswoman for Keolis, which operates the commuter line, told WBZ-TV in an e-mail the "incident is under investigation."
The Commuter Rail tweeted that the Haverhill line had returned to normal service shortly before 3 p.m.
