MBTA Announces Shuttle Service For St. Patrick's Day Parade

BOSTON (CBS) - The MBTA has announced that there will be a shuttle bus service for the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday.

The service will run between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. to and from South Station, and along Summer Street and East 1st Street in South Boston.

Parade-goers can also take the Red Line train service to South Station, Andrew Station, and Broadway Station.

Trains will regularly avoid Broadway Station due to crowds and public safety concerns, says the MBTA. They are also asking commuters to prepare for the possibility of delays.

Travel plans can be made on the MBTA website.

The parade kicks off at 1 p.m. Check out the route here.

Volunteers have been working to clear snow along the parade route which organizers have altered this year.
