MassDOT Seeks Public Input On Regulations

BOSTON (AP) — The state Department of Transportation is asking the public to suggest ways it can streamline the way it does business.

Transportation officials are planning a series of "listening sessions" to hear from residents and business owners.

The first session is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the state transportation building in Boston.

Officials say the sessions are part of Gov. Charlie Baker's decision to review every executive branch regulation and its impact on the public.

Baker says the goal is to create a regulatory code that speaks using one voice with the people of Massachusetts.

Future listening sessions will be held on Jan. 19 in Framingham and Feb. 1 in Amherst.

Those who can't attend a session can submit written comments.
