I-495 reopens after serious box truck crash, Massachusetts State Police say

No one hurt in box truck crash on I-495 in Harvard

HARVARD – Traffic was delayed for hours on Interstate 495 following a box truck crash Wednesday on the Harvard-Boxboro line.

It happened on the Stow Road bridge around 11 a.m. on I-495 south.

Massachusetts State Police asked drivers to seek alternate routes. Just after 3 p.m., the road reopened.

Police said they were still expecting residual delays during the evening commute.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash. A heavily damaged SUV was left in the middle of the road following the crash. A photo from the scene showed a box truck teetering on the guardrail with its rear wheels off the ground.

No one was hurt in the crash.
