Mass. Police Investigating String Of School Threats

BOSTON (CBS) – Police departments in several Massachusetts towns are investigating after a string of school threats.

BC High in Dorchester, Arlington Catholic High School, and Abigail Adams Middle School in Weymouth are among the schools where threats were made.

In addition, threats have been reported in Falmouth and Mashpee.

Boston Police said the threat at BC High in Dorchester came in through a recorded telephone message around 12:20 p.m.

As a result, the school went into safe mode.

St. Agnes School students in Arlington were evacuated around 2 p.m. following the Arlington Catholic threat because the buildings are so close to each other.

Falmouth Police said their investigation revealed that the threat was likely a hoax. As a precaution, students and staff were evacuated and police search the school.

It is unclear if the string of threats is connected.
