As many as 80,000 outages were reported at the height of the storm.
Our transmission system is the superhighway of the grid—when it's damaged, thousands of our customers can lose power. While you might not see crews when they're tackling damage in a power line corridor like here in Greenfield, these repairs come first in our restoration process. pic.twitter.com/5E0suxrNis

Eversource said a transmission structure was damaged in Greenfield during the storm. Power was restored to affected customers by remotely re-routing power from a backup source, Eversource said.
More than 70,000 customers were also without electricity in New Hampshire Wednesday.
