Lynn Man Wins $4 Million Lottery Prize, Plans To Buy Girlfriend Engagement Ring

LYNN (CBS) – A Lynn man who won $4 million on a scratch ticket says he plans to use some of the money to buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend.

Jeffrey Quiles became the first $4 million winner in the current edition of the "100X the Cash" instant game that started on March 1.

Quiles chose to receive his prize in annual payments of $200,000 before taxes over the next 20 years.

According to the Massachusetts Lottery, Quiles plans to buy his girlfriend, Kelsey Simonian, an engagement ring.

He also plans to use some of his winnings to buy a house and new car.

Quiles bought his winning ticket at Lynn Convenience Store. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus.

Four additional prizes of $4 million still remain.
