Mass. Gas Prices 19 Cents Higher Than A Month Ago

BOSTON (AP) — The cost of a gallon of gasoline in Massachusetts is up a nickel, the ninth consecutive week of higher prices.

AAA Northeast in its weekly price survey released Monday found self-serve, regular gas selling for an average of $2.17 per gallon, the highest price since late September.

Gas is now 19 cents per gallon higher than it was a month ago. But it remains 5 cents below the national average and 43 cents lower than it was a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling as low as $1.99 per gallon and as high as $2.49.
