Massachusetts Gas Prices 3 Cents Lower Than Last Month

BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts gas prices are holding steady, with no change from a week ago.

AAA Northeast reports Monday that self-serve, regular is still selling for an average of $2.06 per gallon, 3 cents above the national average.

Bay State prices are 3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 72 cents per gallon lower than they were a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $1.93 per gallon and as high as $2.39.

An organization spokeswoman said concerns that OPEC nations would agree to production cuts led to temporary increases in oil prices, but those production cuts did not happen.
