Mass. Gas Prices 9 Cents Higher Than A Week Ago

BOSTON (AP) — Rising international oil prices are driving up the cost of gasoline at the pump in Massachusetts.

AAA Northeast announced Monday that its weekly survey found self-serve, regular gas selling for an average of $1.79 per gallon in the Bay State, 9 cents higher than a week ago.

That price is 15 cents per gallon lower than the national average and 60 cents lower than the Massachusetts price a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $1.59 and as high as $1.94 per gallon in the state.
